If NFL players are locked out, Angels could get extended look at Locker

Angels wonder about Jake Locker
Jake Locker's baseball rights belong to the Angels, and the possibility of an NFL work stoppage has prompted several recent reports out of Southern California regarding his baseball possibilities.
Tony Reagins, the Angels GM, has referenced contractual obligations, which presumably could be a factor this year depending upon the situation.
"He has a contractual obligation, and the expectation is he will fulfill it. We're abreast of the situation. We don't know what's going to happen with the NFL. Right now, Jake has option."

Locker was asked Friday whether he closed the door on baseball, and while he didn't rule out the possibility of baseball, he made it clear that as long as he has a chance to play football, that's what he's going to do:
