Draft prospects to watch

Posted by Danny O'Neil

Count Arizona defensive end Ricky Elmore and Utah offensive lineman Zane Taylor among the draft prospects the Seahawks met with in Indianapolis.

Now, it's dangerous to read too much into an individual meeting between player and prospect since teams tend to cast a wide net when it comes to talking to potential draft picks.

For example, Colorado cornerback Jimmy Smith pointed out he had meetings set up with 28 teams.

But Seattle's interest in Elmore and Taylor is worth noting. Elmore is a defensive end who totaled 21.5 sacks over his past two seasons, leading the Pac-10 in that category in 2009 and 2010.

Taylor is an interior lineman, and he showed how powerful he was with the bench-press test at the combine.

Update: Taylor performed 33 bench-press repetitions at 225 pounds at the combine. For those who have asked.
