Seahawks Monday Night, by the numbers

Posted by Danny O'Neil

It has been more than four years -- 1,491 days to be exact -- since Seattle played on Monday Night Football. Every other team in the league has been featured on Monday night in that span. In fact, twenty-eight of the 32 teams have made multiple Monday night appearances since the Seahawks were last featured in this time slot. The Patriots, Saints and Vikings (yes, the Vikings) have appeared in eight different Monday night games since Seattle's last Monday appearance.

Here are some other numbers to keep in mind:

.667 -- Seattle's winning percentage on Monday night, best of any team in the league. The Seahawks are 16-8. The Steelers have the second-best winning percentage. They are 39-22, a winning percentage of .629.

6 -- teams that have fewer Monday night appearances than Seattle: Jacksonville (14), Tampa Bay (19), Baltimore Ravens (17), Arizona (21) and Houston (4).

21 -- Teams that have changed head coaches since the last time the Seahawks appeared on Monday night. Seven of those 21 teams have changed coaches twice, including the Seahawks who went from Mike Holmgren to Jim Mora to Pete Carroll.

11 -- Eleven NFL head coaches who still hold the same job they did for the Seahawks' last Monday night appearance: Ken Whisenhunt (Arizona), Lovie Smith (Chicago), Marvin Lewis (Cincinnati), Mike McCarthy (Green Bay), Gary Kubiak (Houston), Bill Belichick (New England), Sean Payton (New Orleans), Tom Coughlin (New York Giants), Andy Reid (Philadelphia), Mike Tomlin (Pittsburgh), Norv Turner (San Diego).
