Seahawks coming up short at home

Close wasn't part of Seattle's vocabulary last season when each of the Seahawks' nine losses was by double digits.

Compare that to this season when Seattle has trailed by double digits throughout the fourth quarter only once: a Week 2 loss at Pittsburgh.

In all four of Seattle's home losses, the Seahawks have had the ball in the final 4 minutes while trailing by eight points or less. In effect, Seattle has been in position to at least tie the game, and most often has a shot at taking the lead. In a year where it's possible to praise the Seahawks for how far they've come, it's those game-ending drives that show where Seattle needs to improve to take the next step toward becoming a viable contender:
