Report: Trufant to visit Denver Broncos

Cornerback Marcus Trufant has a free-agent visit scheduled with the Denver Broncos, according to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Trufant has played his entire career for Washington state teams from high school (Wilson in Tacoma) to college (Washington State) to the previous nine seasons for the Seattle Seahawks.

He was the longest-tenured member of Seattle until the team released him last week, a decision that was timed to give Trufant the best chance at the job market.

Trufant, 31, has missed games because of a back injury two of the previous three seasons, but is healthy and recovered. He was a starter each of his nine seasons in the NFL, but the emergence of cornerbacks Brandon Browner and Richard Sherman last season jump-started Seattle's decision to move on.
