Bruce Irvin's Pita Pit caper

Bruce Irvin jumped up, knocking off the sign that was mounted atop a Pita Pit delivery vehicle just after 3 a.m. on March 17.

A police officer saw him do this in Morgantown, W.V., according to the complaint filed with the Morgantown Municipal Court.

"I'm just drunk," Irvin said, according to the complaint.

The officer asked the driver if the vehicle was damaged, and after point to damage, Irvin was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct and destruction of property.

Those charges were resolved when Irvin appeared Tuesday at the municipal court. He pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct and was assessed a fine of $200. The charge for destruction of property was dismissed.

On Thursday, general manager John Schneider said the Seahawks were aware of the incident, and that Irvin regretted, and had written a letter, presumably to the victim.

"We know what happened and researched it," Schneider said. "He made a mistake and was remorseful and all that."
