Deon Butler out, Charly Martin survives the cut for now

It's too soon to say receiver Charly Martin has made the Seahawks' roster.

He looks safe for now, though, as he's not expected to be among the 20 to 23 players Seattle must let go on Friday to reduce the roster to 53 players.

Deon Butler is on his way out, though. A third-round pick in 2009, Butler survived the transition from coach Jim Mora to coach Pete Carroll. Butler is expected to be released after playing three seasons with the Seahawks.
