There was nothing automatic about Russell Wilson's path to Seattle's starting job. That's not just to talk about the odds he has overcome as a sub-6-foot quarterback, but the professional options he had. I think it's fascinating to think what kind of baseball player he might have been, and how hard that decision must have been -- little more than a year ago -- to pull the plug on that path and play a senior year of college football at a new school.
