DL Jason Jones doubtful to play Sunday
He's just unlikely to be playing Sunday after sitting out practice this week with an ankle injury.
"We're listing him as doubtful," coach Pete Carroll.
The Seahawks depart Friday for Sunday's game.
That means a larger role for Greg Scruggs, Seattle's rookie from Louisville.
"Scruggs will be playing for sure in the game," Carroll said. "He'll be in the rotation. He has done a good job. We like him playing. He has been part of the first four guys rushing."
Guard John Moffitt is listed as questionable as he returned to practice this week after missing the past four games with a knee injury. Even if Moffitt were to play, he's not ready to start yet, Carroll said.
Cornerback Byron Maxwell is out with a hamstring injury, and Carroll did not say whether Walter Thurmond would be activated for this week's game.
The biggest uncertainty is Jones, a former second-round pick, whom the Seahawks signed as a free agent. Jones is not a starter, but he is a big part of Seattle's nickel pass-rush package, which also includes rookie Bruce Irvin. Jones has 2.5 sacks so far this season.
"It's a really big deal if we can't get him out there," Carroll said. "We're starting to learn how to rush together, and we have a chance to get pretty good here as we grow together."
