Rookie Winston Guy suspended 4 games for performance-enhancing drug violation

Seahawks rookie safety Winston Guy has been suspended the next four games, the NFL announced Tuesday, for a violation of the policy on performance-enhancing drugs.

Guy is a safety from Kentucky, who has not played only one game for the Seahawks, and that was the season-opener. He is the first Seahawk to be suspended this season.

The league did not announce which banned substance Guy was found to have used, but the punishment is for a drug defined by the league as performance-enhancing as opposed to recreational drugs, which are punished under the league's substance-abuse policy.
