Deon Butler signed by the Seahawks

The Seahawks signed Deon Butler on Saturday after he cleared a physical, placing Charly Martin on injured reserve. Martin suffered a calf injury during Thursday's practice.

Butler was chosen in the third round by Seattle in 2009, and played the previous three seasons with the Seahawks. He was released on the final round of cuts before the regular season began.

Butler is eligible to be active in Sunday's game against Buffalo in Toronto.
