Another spinning attraction at Pier 57

Sketched June 4, 2012 [Click images to see larger versions]

The Seattle Great Wheel is not the only thing that spins around on Pier 57. Walk to the end of the pier and you'll find this carousel next to an arcade that would make my kids eyeballs spin too. I can picture my son playing the air-hockey table and my daughter going straight for the candy machine.

Sketched May 29, 2012

With a busy road in front of the pier and the viaduct right behind me, it was hard to find a good vantage point for a sketch of the Pier 57 building, also known as Miners Landing.

I stood by what looked like freshly asphalted new parking spots by the viaduct pillars to draw this view. You can see the Seattle Great Wheel and Elliott Bay in the background.
