RALSTON, Neb. — CJ Carter scored 17 points and Nebraska-Omaha has won six of its past seven games after beating Seattle University 76-69 on Sunday.

Isiah Umipig scored a career-high 35 points for the Redhawks (8-4).

Umipig shot 11 of 18 from the field, including 6 of 11 from behind the three-point line and 7 of 7 from the free-throw line. It was his second game of the season with at least 30 points and broke his previous personal best of 34.

Omaha (9-4) averages 84 points per game but shot only 28 percent from the floor in the first half. The Redhawks, though, led only 26-22 going into the break.

Omaha forged a 12-point lead with two minutes left. Seattle U stormed back, capped by Umipig nailing a three-pointer with a minute left and the Redhawks trailed 67-65.

A fast-break layup by Alex Phillips and some clutch free throws secured the win for Omaha.
