Oregon hands Seattle U 6-4 baseball loss

Kyle Kasser went 3 for 5 with two runs scored and two runs batted in to lead Oregon to a 6-4 nonconference baseball win over Seattle U at Bellevue’s Bannerwood Park on Tuesday.
Seattle U (11-9) jumped out to a 3-0 lead on a three-run home run by Sheldon Stober in the third inning, but Oregon (10-7) rallied to score six runs over the next four innings to build a 6-3 lead.
Stober also doubled for the Redhawks.
Griffin Andreychuk, Sean Sutton and Dalton Hurd each had two hits for the Redhawks.
• Senior Mitch Penner, who led Seattle Pacific in scoring with 18.6 points per game, was named to the NABC Division II All-West Region men’s basketball team.
• The Seattle University men’s golf team completed the Airstream Adventures Northwest Classic, finishing in fifth place (870, +6) at the Willamette Valley Country Club in Canby, Ore. Joe Harvie tied for eighth at 3-under 213.
• The Seattle University women’s golf team finished tied for seventh (924, +60) at the Sacramento State Invitational in Roseville, Calif.
• Washington State track and field competitors won nine events at the Jim Bush Collegiate at UCLA, led by CJ Allen’s 400-meter hurdles win in a nation-leading time of 50.55 seconds.
