Seattle Times staff reporter

Seahawks president Tim Ruskell sounded satisfied with the offseason, so far, when he spoke Tuesday at the construction site of the team's new training facility and headquarters in Renton.

"You have a plan and you target a bunch of guys and you have an order that you want to do it in, and we feel good," Ruskell said. "We knew we weren't going to get all of them [free agents], so you don't panic and you go to the next guy, but we feel real good. We have addressed some needs and we feel good about the people that we have brought in."

The Seahawks have signed defensive end Patrick Kerney, safeties Deon Grant and Brian Russell and tight end Marcus Pollard.

There was concern about Pollard, who is 35. Ruskell said he liked what he saw of Pollard on film, but that the team will still look for a tight end in the draft and hopes to go to mini-camps with five or six on the roster.

"The guy still has his quickness, he is still a tenacious blocker and he still has good hands," Ruskell said of Pollard. "He defies his age, and he has not been an injury guy during his career."

Hasselbeck ahead of schedule for rehab

Matt Hasselbeck's shoulder rehabilitation has him ahead of schedule, Ruskell said. "I think he could throw a Nerf ball right now if he had to," Ruskell said. "We would anticipate that maybe he could do some light throwing in the post-draft camp [in early May], for sure looking at the June camps to be able to throw."

Notes

• S Ken Hamlin was in Dallas for a free-agent visit with the Cowboys, according to multiple reports. It appears highly unlikely Hamlin will be back with the Seahawks.

• Seahawks WR Nate Burleson will appear on Seattle rap artist Wizdom's new CD, "Book of Wizdom," which is to be released March 30 at an event at Nectar Lounge in Fremont. Burleson, aka New Balance, is featured on three of the tracks.
