LSU CB Patrick Peterson wins Jim Thorpe Award

LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson has won the Jim Thorpe Award as the nation's best defensive back.

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. —

LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson has won the Jim Thorpe Award as the nation's best defensive back.

The junior was honored Thursday night during the College Football Awards Show at Disney World.

TCU safety Tejay Johnson and Nebraska cornerback Prince Amukamara were the other finalists.
