LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Once again, Seattle University fell victim to an early offensive outburst, as New Mexico State quickly opened a double-digit lead and held on for a 96-87 victory Thursday night in Western Athletic Conference action at the Pan American Center.

New Mexico State (13-5, 2-0 WAC) had five players score in double figures for New Mexico State, led by DK Eldridge with 18 points and nine rebounds.

Isiah Umipig scored 24 points and Deshaun Sunderhaus notched his second double-double of the season with a season-high 22 points and 12 rebounds for the Redhawks (8-7, 0-2).
