Tony Shalhoub's obsessive-compulsive San Francisco detective, Adrian Monk, returns for his eighth and final season tonight. It's a cute little show and Shalhoub has earned three Emmy Awards for his work, but I'm looking forward to the return of original cast member Bitty Schram as Monk's nurse Sharona Fleming. She's scheduled to make a guest appearance sometime this season. The show hasn't been the same without her sardonic take on things. 9 tonight, USA (seattletimes.com/tvlistings).
