'Torchwood: Miracle Day'

"One day, nobody dies." That's the intriguing premise of the new season of this British sci-fi hit which has made a leap to a new network, and retained two of its actors: John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness and Eve Myles as Gwen Cooper. New actors this season include Mekhi Phifer, Bill Pullman and Lauren Ambrose. Sounds like a great way to spend a Friday night. 10 p.m. Friday on Starz (seattletimes.com/tvlistings).
