'Desperate Housewives'

Can your DVR handle it? On this big night of television (season finales and new episodes are everywhere), the series finale of this long running comedy/drama about the residents of Wisteria Lane is a standout. Although the story lines have varied in quality over eight seasons (remember the neighbor locked in the basement?), when the show stuck to the relationship between its four core housewives (Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross and Eva Longoria), it was at its best. Congratulations to creator Marc Cherry for taking the show out in the spirit it was created, with a sense of fun and a big helping of heart. Two-hour series finale, 9 p.m. Sunday on ABC (
