‘True Blood’

Are you ready for another summer of vampires, werewolves, shape-shifters and whatever new sexy beasties have taken up residence in Bon Temps, La.? It looks as though the battle between humans and supernatural creatures is heating up for this already-steamy show’s season 6 premiere. 9 p.m. Sunday on HBO.

“Off the Hook: Extreme Catches,” 8 p.m. (Animal Planet): Eric attempts to collect the Hawaiian delicacy known as opihi for his luau, then dives for octopuses and wrestles the creatures by hand.

“2013 Miss USA Competition,” 9 p.m. (NBC): Contestants from all 50 states and the District of Columbia vie for the crown in the 62nd annual competition; Giuliana Rancic and Nick Jonas host.

“Masterpiece Mystery,” 9 p.m. (KCTS): “Inspector Lewis, Series VI: Down Among the Fearful”: Lewis and Hathaway investigate the death of a psychic, who turns out to be an Oxford psychology-research fellow.

“Falling Skies,” 10 p.m. (TNT): The two-year anniversary of the alien invasion approaches.
