PHOTO: Arlington drug raid nets weapons and marijuana

Posted by John de Leon

Weapons and marijuana seized during a raid Wednesday at an Arlington home.

Police seized marijuana plants and packaged marijuana, cash and a cache of handguns and rifles during a raid Wednesday at an Arlington home.

The raid culminated an investigation that was initiated by Arlington Police Officer Seth Kinney after he received an anonymous tip from a concerned citizen. A 28-year-old man who lives at the home in the 4900 block of 196th Place Northeast was arrested and booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of drug charges.

Officers discovered a marijuana grow operation at the house, according to police.

An Arlington spokeswoman says the raid was not related to a series of raids in Washington and other states on Wednesday that targeted a Mexican drug cartel.
