Skagit Valley Herald: Police investigate man's rude awakening

Posted by John de Leon

Maybe he was safer in jail?

The Skagit County Sheriff's Office is looking for the person who fired a gunshot into the bedroom of a Hamilton man who had just been released from jail, according to the Skagit Valley Herald.

Relatives of the 26-year-old man reported the shooting just before 4 a.m. Sunday after they awoke to the sound of gunfire, the Herald reports. No one was injured.

The man had recently been released from jail on an assault charge and was staying with family, Detective Theresa Luvera tells the Herald.
