One person hospitalized when car collides with Metro bus

Posted by John de Leon

A collision between a car and a Metro bus sent one person to the hospital early Saturday morning.

The bus was traveling west on the Columbia Street ramp onto the southbound lanes of the Alaskan Way Viaduct at 1:13 a.m. when a black Mercedes-Benz hit the rear bumper of the bus. A passenger in the Mercedes suffered a head injury and was taken to Harborview Medical Center.

A check of the Mercedes driver showed no sign of impairment, police said.
