Man attacked, stabbed on Capitol Hill
Posted by John de Leon
A man was stabbed and robbed early Sunday morning, but he didn't report the attack to police until Monday morning.
The victim was walking home alone in the 1600 block of Summit Avenue around 1:45 a.m. Sunday when a male approached him and asked if he had any money. Before the victim could answer, another male grabbed him from behind and wrestled him to the ground, according to Seattle police.
A third male joined in the and helped pin the victim to the ground. During the struggle the victim felt several impacts to his back along with a dull pain. The three assailants took the victim's wallet, which contained $500 cash and two bank cards.
The males then ran off in an unknown direction, police said.
The victim didn't immediately notify police of the attack because he was "ashamed" that he had been overpowered and robbed. Instead, he went home and went to bed.
When he woke up Monday morning he saw his back was bleeding. He went to Harborview Medical Center, where staff determined he had been stabbed three times.
The victim could not describe his attackers.
