Home-invasion robbery reported near Marysville

Posted by John de Leon

The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office is investigating a home-invasion robbery that occurred Monday morning in unincorporated Marysville. Detectives believe the two men responsible for the robbery may have been targeting a different house.

The two men, one armed with a rifle and the other a handgun, went into the house in the 8400 block of 27th Avenue Northeast around 7 a.m. A teenage girl, who was visiting the house, was asleep inside while the homeowners were asleep in a nearby building on the same property. The female homeowner walked into the main house as the robbery was happening.

No one was injured.

The men stole some electronics and fled in a pickup that was later found abandoned in a nearby neighborhood. The truck had been stolen out of Marysville, the Sheriff's Office said. Neighbors reported seeing two men removing items from the stolen pickup and putting them into a second vehicle.

Based on information provided by the neighbors, detectives went to a house in the 9100 block of 94th Drive Southeast in Lake Stevens, where they found the second vehicle as well as evidence from the home-invasion robbery.

There have been no arrests yet.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the sheriff's tip line at 425-388-3845.
