Pedestrian struck by two vehicles on Aurora Avenue North

A man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries Wednesday afternoon after he was struck by two vehicles in the 6700 block of Aurora Avenue North.

The man was crossing Aurora Avenue North around 12:15 p.m. when he was struck by van heading north, police said. The man was then struck a second time by another vehicle in the center lane.

The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Neither driver was injured, police said.

All three northbound lanes of Aurora Avenue North are closed at the 5900 block with traffic being diverted. Police expect the closure will last several hours.
