Body found after house fire in Enumclaw

Enumclaw firefighters and police officers found a body after they extinguished a house fire Thursday afternoon.

The house at the 1800 block of Loraine Street was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived at the scene, according to Enumclaw police. KING-TV reported that the fire occurred around 2:40 p.m. There were also reports of an explosion.

Firefighters and police officers found the body in the same area where the fire had occurred.

The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is investigating the reports of an explosion. The Tukwila Fire department is helping with the fire investigation.

The victim was not identified and the cause of the fire has not been determined.
