Man struck, killed by train in Marysville

A man was struck and killed by a freight train early Wednesday morning in Marysville in what police are calling a likely suicide.

The man was struck just after 3 a.m. He has yet to be identified, according to police.

Marysville detectives as well as investigators with Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway are at the scene. The train has been stopped just north of Fourth Street for the investigation, according to police.
