Teen arrested after pushing woman in front of Metro bus

Posted by Matt Kreamer

A 15-year-old boy was arrested Thursday afternoon after pushing a woman in front of a bus after an argument in downtown Seattle.

Officers arrived at Third Avenue and Seneca Street about 3 p.m. and found the 50-year-old woman, who had been struck by the slow-moving Metro bus, Seattle police reported. Witnesses led officers to the suspect, walking away on Third Avenue.

Police said the teen and the woman didn't know each other, but had some kind of argument before the teen shoved the woman into the street. She was taken to Harborview Medical Center to be treated for a hairline fracture to her hip.

The suspect had earlier been reported missing from King County. He was booked into the Youth Services Center for investigation of assault, police said.
