One person was killed and three were injured early Saturday morning in a car accident in downtown Seattle, police said.
Accident occurred just before 4 a.m. when the car sped off the I-5 Union Street exit and crashed into a concrete wall, flipping the car on its roof, said Seattle Police Det. Mark Jamieson. The car hit three parked taxis as it slid a block and a half on its roof.
A driver in one of the taxis was not injured, and the other two taxis were empty, Jamieson said.
The car came to rest at 7th Avenue and Union Street. The driver and a rear-seat passenger were partially ejected through the windows. A second rear-seat passenger died on the scene.
Three of the occupants were transported to Harborview Medical Center, and two of them have life-threatening injuries.
