Seward Park woman robbed in her home by 3 armed men

Posted by Jeff Hodson

A woman returning to her Seward Park home Monday afternoon was confronted by three armed robbers who stole her jewelry and car keys.

The suspects followed the woman into her garage as she pulled in shortly before 5 p.m. Police said it appeared the men were casing her home, in the 4700 block of Lake Washington Boulevard South, for a possible burglary when she drove up.

The woman, who was in her 60s, was not injured, according to Seattle police Detective Jeff Kappel.

The suspects, black men in their 20s, were last seen heading south on Lake Washington Boulevard in a maroon four-door sedan. One was wearing a white shirt, tie and dark slacks. Police believe he may have been well-dressed to gain possible entry to homes as he cased them out.

The other two wore dark clothing and hoodies.
