Theme Song: Pondering the right music for ... Marshawn Lynch

Listen to 950 KJR-AM at 4 p.m. today to hear me talk about Theme Song and other sports topics with Mike Gastineau and Scott Soden.

It took only one game and 44 yards for Seahawks fans to fall in love with Marshawn Lynch and his "Beast Mode."

The bruising running back is a unique talent with a blue-collar mentality, and he's quickly making the Seahawks more physical than they were at the start of the season.

He has only been around for a couple of weeks, but we know enough to profile him through music. This man needs a theme song more than any other sports figure in town.

"Move" by Ludacris

I think this will be a highly popular pick, and I can see Lynch embracing the notion. He is a tough, ram of a running back. If you're not ready to play physical, violent football, then move - get out of the way.

"Go Hard" by DJ Khaled, featuring Kanye West and T-Pain

This is another song that reflects Lynch's running mentality. When he's on the field, he goes hard on every play, and that's why Seahawks fans haven taken an immediate liking to him. I also like that this song is very reckless, difficult to listen to and full of energy. It matches Lynch's persona. In truth, we don't really know yet what the Seahawks have in this player.

He has had some off-the-field problems, but he has been a model citizen in Seattle thus far. He was said to be moody at times in Buffalo, but we haven't seen that. Like most people, Lynch isn't an easily definable character, but if he performs well in Seattle, he may find this to be a place he can settle down and relax.

"Ruff Ryders' Anthem" by DMX

I can't stand the poor spelling of the song's title, but this is a hardcore song with an edge to it that fits Lynch. It takes a little gangsta rap to match Lynch because he's a tough, street-wise guy from Oakland who succeeded in spite of the dangers around him.

The tattoos, the long hair, the gold teeth - those are the things you notice about him at the beginning. That's his hardened exterior. But there seems to be more to him. You see it in his quick wit during interviews, and his unselfishness in dealing with teammates.

Make no mistake, however: He's rough, or, ruff. And he's riding, or, ryding, with his own style and personality. DMX didn't know it at the time, but he wrote a nice anthem for Lynch.

OK, now you have the floor. What would you choose as Marshawn Lynch's theme song?
