Firefighters free man trapped by fallen tree in Maltby

Posted by Jack Broom

In the Maltby area, firefighters had to cut and remove a tree blocking their way into a home where a man was trapped inside after large tree came down about 1 a.m.

Autumn Waite, spokeswoman for Snohomish County Fire District 7, said that as crews arrived at the home in the 9100 block of 222nd Street Southeast, the homeowner had freed his legs, pinned by debris from the fallen tree, but was still unable to move.

Firefighters worked their way inside the home and freed the occupant, who was not injured.
