Cooler weather and thunderstorms replacing sunny skies

Posted by By Seattle Times staff

Last weekend’s hot weather has been replaced with cooler temperatures and thunderstorms.

Meteorologist Johnny Burg with the National Weather Service said cooler air moved in bringing clouds and creating instability, which caused thunder storms that could continue into the evening. The temperature Monday should be in the 60s, and those cooler temperatures will continue through Wednesday.

But warm weather will return Thursday and should continue through Sunday.

The temperatures will be in the lower 70s through the weekend, Burg said, but dry. “It won’t be warm like this weekend,” he said.
