Yapta teams with Kayak

Seattle-basedYapta.com, the airfare tracking service, is partnering with Kayak.com, the travel search site, to power its flight search engine.

Seattle-basedYapta.com, the airfare tracking service, is partnering with Kayak.com, the travel search site, to power its flight search engine, a move Yapta says will give it greater access to flight data and the ability to track prices for any flight in the world.

"Tracking airfare prices before purchase will help travelers save money 45 percent of the time," Tom Romary, president and CEO of Yapta Travelers who continue to track the price of their flight after purchase will find that they're eligible for an airline refund or credit voucher about 15 percent of the time, he said. In the coming weeks, Kayak said it will begin pairing Yapta's airfare tracking service with its own search results.
