Name: Cocoon Grid-It Wrap for iPad

What it is: A protective neoprene sleeve for your iPad, iPad 2 or other tablet. It opens to reveal a nest of rubberized elastic straps laid out in a grid. With a seemingly infinite number of configurations, the straps snugly hold earphones, adapter, phone and other totables. It weighs a pound and measures 11 1/2-by-1 1/4-by 9 1/4 inches.

The good: Anything that's as big as your hand or as small and thin as a dime can nestle into the straps. This is a better alternative than letting accessories jostle around at the bottom of your purse or messenger bag.

No belts or buckles to adjust, no Velcro to deal with. Slip your stuff in and go. Everything stays snug and organized, even when running to catch a bus.

The bad: No handle or shoulder strap, so you have to carry it in your hand or tuck it in a backpack, shoulder bag or messenger bag. Cocoon does, however, offer shoulder bags that includes a Grid-It system. Those cost more.

Cost: $30
