PRAGUE — An airline spokeswoman says a captain of a plane carrying 46 passengers died during a flight from the Polish capital of Warsaw to Prague.

Czech CSA's Hana Hejskova said the co-pilot took charge of the landing. The safety of the passengers on the ATR 42 plane was not threatened because the airline's pilots are trained to deal with such incidents, said Hejskova.

Doctors in Prague could not revive the captain after the plane landed Wednesday.

The spokeswoman didn't give any details about the cause of the death. The pilot was not identified.
