Bakery Nouveau (Capitol Hill)
The Capitol Hill branch of the West Seattle hotspot, it's one of the more ambitious bakeries in Seattle, offering a wide range of pastries, bread, chocolates, sandwiches and pizzas. It's been making inroads into the lunch crowd, pushing pizzas and pastries stuffed and dressed up in many savory variations. The Twice Baked Almond Croissant, soaked in syrup and filled with almond cream and topped with more almonds and cream, remains the most sought-after item.
