The menu at this no-frills tequila bar shifted to tacos, quesos and Mexican street snacks with the arrival of chef Alvaro Candela, a Mexico City-native. Braised beef belly, pan-seared trout, spit-roasted pork and grilled cactus are among the taco fillings. There's not a bad option in the bunch. Sip tequilas (there are dozens), agua fresca, or have one of the best margaritas around, composed, like the food, with deliberate care, exquisite balance, and fresh, high quality ingredients.
