Thursday TV Picks: the new ‘Do No Harm’ on NBC
‘Do No Harm’
Your first thought may be, “not another stodgy medical drama!” Not to worry, this new series is a modern take on the “Jekyll & Hyde” story. It stars Steven Pasquale (“Rescue Me,” pictured above with Erika Woods, center, and Alana De La Garza) as a neurosurgeon whose alternate personality emerges every night at 8:25 p.m. Yes, the setup is far-fetched, but Pasquale is so good at playing both characters, you may just want to play along. 10 p.m. Thursday on NBC (seattletimes.com/tvlistings).
Also on Thursday
“The Vampire Diaries,” 8 p.m. (CW): Shane leads an expedition to an island where he believes the secret of the cure is hidden; Elena and Rebekah’s rivalry continues; when Tyler confronts Klaus, Caroline is dragged into the violence that follows.
“Grey’s Anatomy,” 9 p.m. (ABC): Several of the doctors compete to be the new face of Seattle Grace; April brings an emergency case to the hospital; Alex and Jackson work with a transgender teen couple; new policies test the patience of the staff.
“Mysteries at the Museum,” 9 p.m. (Travel): A preserved mass of human tissue; a massive skull belonging to an African beast; a replica of a meteorite that played a part in a heist.
“Person of Interest,” 9:01 p.m. (CBS): Finch and Reese meet their match: a tech billionaire whose curiosity and endless resources could expose their identities and ruin their efforts to save his life.
